β-Lactamase CTZ
β-Lactamase CTZ is a broad-spectrum beta-lactamase capable of degrading penicillins, cephalosporins and monobactams.
Applications and usage
The β-Lactamase CTZ is used for sterility testing and environmental monitoring and for the inactivation of beta-lactams from blood and organic samples before they are subjected to routine microbiological analysis. The use of this enzyme is specifically indicated for the inactivation of some cephalosporins such as CEFTAZIDIME, CEFTIBUTEN and CEFEPIME.
